Indrid: Well, I can turn into a cow. … No, I can’t actually do that. That’s a wild thing-
Lulu: C-can you really?
Indrid: …No! I can turn into a big moth, sometimes, but not now.

Justin, joking in Episode 1: Oh my god, my goal for this adventure is to invent the taco!
Me, who knows exactly how this arc plays out:
ID: Orange, green, red, and yellow toned drawing of Lup and Taako Taaco, two elven twins, against a green background. They both link arms as they float and laugh, displaying their magic, and both wear red robes. Lup, left, has tan skin and dark hair, and wears a white blouse under a yellow dress with a red robe tied around her waist . She holds a flame in one hand, and casts her wand over her shoulder. Taako, right, has tan skin and dyed light hair in a long braid, and wears a red coat over a red robe, baggy brown trousers, and a massive purple wizards hat. He holds a ball of energy in his hands.
Big magic dorks.
Griffin: You can remember a voice coming from that crack, from something just below the surface. (He pauses) And then when you come to, Zoox, *cue the most threatening TAZ music ever created* you come to in a room that is different from the one that you began this connection in.
CHRIST this podcast has never made me scared, but Griffin? I am scared.

“And you’ll have her back by curfew, 10 sharp, or you know I’ve gotta report it to the Guild. Might be fired as my apprentice.”
“Yes sir.”
“And don’t go too far past the woods, some of Kalan’s men out there the other day. I know my daughter can protect herself but I ain’t always so sure about you.”
Magnus runs a tongue proudly over his missing tooth. The black eye he got two weeks ago is kind of greenish now.
“Yes sir,” he says.
“What’s with the “yes sir” now, Burnsides?” Turning, Steven hollers. “Jules, your prince is waiting for your downstairs!”
Julia descends (hand on the railing, a rosewood he sanded down and curved at the edges himself), in a pale red dress with trousers underneath it. She’s smiling, defiant, embarrassed, and adoring. Magnus knows her smiles. But you know someone forever, never not know them, and they can still look this unfamiliar?
“You got the jars,” Julia says, for lack of anything else to say. Steven groans, but he’s receded into the edge of the world for Magnus, mouthing “ten o’ clock”.
“I got the jars,” Magnus says. Two glass jars, scrubbed clean, ready to be filled to the brim with light. “One for each of us, um—“ there’s a basket of food propped against his arm, covered in a blanket, she hadn’t noticed.
“I bet I can catch more,” Julia says, with the absolute confidence of someone who rarely loses. “Magnus?”
For the first and last time in the whole of his life, someone tells Magnus Burnsides to hurry up.
hey so: im gonna kill mer
[ID: a digital painting of Julia and Magnus Burnsides. The picture is set at night. Julia is wearing a white shirt. She is smiling open mouthed at Magnus and holding a clear jar with a few fireflies inside. Magnus is also wearing a white shirt and is smiling at Julia. They are surrounded by fireflies.
